Mac Studio Fix VS Natural Collection Concealers | Millylovesmakeup

Hi everyone,

After a late night or stressful times concealer is a makeup must! I hate having dark bags under my eyes and these two concealers are my most used. I normally have a concealer for day use and one for evening/night use. Having tested many concealers before, I always find myself going back to use the same products that work best with my skin tone.

Natural Collection Concealer - Fair
 £1.99
I have used many products from the Natural Collection range before but I always go back to buy there concealer. It lasts so well and the coverage is great. It does have a slight watery/ oily consistency but for everyday use it doesn't feel too heavy and it always conceals those horrible eye bags well! Overall it isn't as light as I would want but it does its job well!

Mac Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer - NC20
 £15.50
I have been using the studio finish concealer since June and I love it. It has a creamy consistency and it effectively covers skins blemishes, bad breakouts and dark circles. I mainly use mac products for a night out as I find the makeup is more photogenic and lasts better, it is definitely worth paying the extra money but not all the time.

Quality wise I perfer the Mac Studio Fix. I feel it overal is a better quality concealer and it last amazingly and I don't mind paying a little bit more for products if you know they work well!
Which concealer do you recommend?
Is it a branded or hightsteet name?

Rimmel London Wonder'full Mascara Review | Millylovesmakeup

Hello everyone,

It was getting to that time again when I started to get fed up of using the same mascara day in day out and I fancied a change so I popped into boots. I decided to try out a different product and picked:

I have used many of Rimmel's products before and I use 'Brows this way' styling gel daily. The lid colour caught my eye as its coppery and the mascara is a good size. The applicator is flexible and ultra soft it also helps holds a lot of product. It always leaves my lashes feeling clump-free and extra long.

Since buying the product I have worn it daily for 2-3weeks. It is a long lasting product and it doesn't loosen or smudge through out the day unlike other mascaras. It helps to add length and volume and it also contains Argan oil helping to condition your natural lashes.
My natural lashes are very light and short. I religiously have them dyed every 3-4weeks, I always use a dark black mascara to help cover them and I feel this one is perfect!

Overall I feel like this is a lovely and reasonable product. I will continue to test out other but for now I am going to use this mascara for my everyday makeup. Have you tried this one before?
 Which mascara is your favourite?

Speak soon,

Afternoon with Charlie | Charlie Colley Makeup

Hello everyone,
So this weekend I spent the afternoon with Charlie Colley helping take pictures of her and her client for a wedding. Both Charlie and her client allowed me to take photos and post them on my blog.

Charlie is a qualified Makeup Artist from Cheshire and she is finishing off her Beauty Courses at The International School Of Beauty. She used a variety of different makeup products and makeup appliances ranging from MUA, Mac, Rimmel, Sleek Makeup, Estee Lauder, Benefit, Max Factor and more.

Charlie's client was getting married in the afternoon and wanted her makeup natural but effective and with it being for a wedding she wanted it to last. Charlie used a primer under the makeup and she also used some of her clients preferred makeup, her client knew how she wanted her makeup from the makeup trail.

Charlie's client was extremely happy with the result and thanked her after the wedding as her makeup lasted all day! I had a lovely afternoon, the makeup looked lovely and here is a couple of pictures from the day. Thanks to Charlie and her client for letting me come along and take photos of the day.

Ark Age Aware Skincare - Skin Essentials Review

I was unbelievably happy coming home to another amazing Ark Skincare package!
I am a big fan of there products and I did a reviewed on them back in November. I continued to use them regularly as I love the natural packaging and the fresh smell of all the products.
Ark Skin Care products are divided into 3 age-related categories and the products I am showing are from the 'Age Prepare - Teens to Early 20's' range.

Hydrating Toner 150ml - £24.00

It is important to cleanse and tone twice daily and this toner is ever so refreshing. Since receiving my products I have used my toner and moisturiser the most.
The toner comes in a very generous sized spray bottle. Containing Wild Water Mint and Aloe Vera it helps to clean, hydrated and tone your face, leaving it feeling fresh and ready for your Vitality Moisturiser! It helps to boost elasticity and because of the Aloe Vera it helps to reduce redness.

Age Prepare Skin Vitality Moisturiser 50ml - £25.00

With having a dry skin tone, I love my moisturisers and I am fussy with them too. I always have to moisturisers twice daily and I find some suit me more than others.  I have found all Ark moisturisers perfect for my skin. This one left my face feeling slightly sticky BUT it acted like a primer and my makeup seemed to last longer because of it. Its filled with vitamins and contains Avocado and Peach helping to hydrate the skin more. The price of the moisturiser is a bit pricey but I don't mind paying extra if it helps and suits my skin.

Lounging Shower Gel - Free Sample 30ml

I was lucky enough to receive a sample from the shower gel range. This little shower gel is great for a weekend away or a nice, relaxing, lounge in the bath! It is quite small but if you use a little amount the bottles last really well. It contains Bergamot , Orange, Mandarin and Lemon.. Madarin and Orange are my two favourites as they always smell so fruity and nice. After using the shower gel I smelt lovely for hours! You can buy the full size shower gel which is 200ml for £18.50

If you are unhappy or suffering with your skin its good to try out new products and I am really glad that I have found / tested theses products. Gradually as we get older as skin changes and I feel that Ark Age Aware Skincare do help through skins changes and constant struggles. Overall I really enjoyed testing the Ark Skin Aware products and I know I will carry on using them again.

My Everyday Makeup

I decided to do a little post about the products I use on a daily basis. I normally have a set routine but I sometimes get bored and test other products out. I tend to use high street products daily and I change my eye shadows, mascara's and lipsticks but always use the same foundations and concealers.
When they run low I try other products or test out samples to see what suits my skin better. I have a different routine and use other products when I am going out such as a heavier foundation, primer, darker eye shadows and generally use more makeup. These are the current products I am using-

Bourjouis Bronzing Powder & Highlighter
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
Seventeen ' Brows That!' Brow Kit
Natural Collection Concealer
Natural Collection Lipgloss  'Caramel Shortcake'
Bourjouis Rouge Edition Lipstick 'Rouge Jetset'
Benefit High Beam
Seventeen High Drama Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel
Lash Princess Volume Mascara
Mac Powder Blush ' Peaches'

I love reading about products other people uses and I think its interesting to see what people recommend!
Hope you enjoyed my little post and I want to keep blogging about cosmetics and beauty tips.

Do you use any of these products?

Makeup Revolution Products | Review

Have you joined the Revolution?
Since Makeup Revolution came out earlier this year unbelievably this is the first time I have tried the products! I have recently seen more and more posts about Makeup Revolution so I just needed to get some in my life! They have such a good range of products and the price is very generous.

Full Vamp Limitied Addition Lipstick collection - 100% Vamps, Black Heart & Rebel £3.00
Amazing Lipstick - Mystify £1.00

Firstly I looked at the lipsticks and they have many different colours ranging from bright yellows, oranges to deep reds and black. I LOVE the fact that all the lipsticks are only £1.00 and are of such good quality. They last really well and are very hydrating with a creamy consistecy.
If your a fan of MUA I would highly recommend trying these out. The Vamps range are
very warm and deep tones whereas Mystify is a natural nude. My favorite is Rebel which is the plum red colour.

Salvation Palette Hard Day - £6.00

After seeing the Makeup Revolutions palettes I NEEDED one!
Out of all the palettes I felt I would use the earthy browns and cream colours more from this one. It contains 18 stunning eyeshadows and at the moment my favorite is 'Its what we do best' and 'Not one for playing games'. A few have a shimmer and some are more matte but they last and blend beautifully.

I neeeded a new concealer and I thought I would give this one a try. It has a smooth liquid finish
and is perfect for covering spots and circles. It blends well and is perfect under foundation.
Its available in 3 other shades and since receiving it I have used it daily.

 Viper Mascara Black - £3.00

My last product is this black mascara, I have been using a mascara from MUA for sometime now so I wanted to try out a different one out. I think it takes time to find a mascara that suits your lashes needs. I will do a everyday makeup blog soon as again I have used this mascara everyday since I received it. It goes on smoothly and the arched brush helps to give your lashes more of a lift and extra volume. It lasts really well and is very precise unlike some mascaras!

My Cream Winter Coat

Primark - £25.00

Winter is here, the leaves are disappearing and the Christmas adverts are reappearing..

Its getting colder and I have found a winter coat! This Primark coat is perfect for this weather. I adore it, its so soft and cozy, brilliant for the Christmas markets and these dark nights!

My favorite part is the fur, it looks really pretty and you can detach it off the coat. It has two big pockets either side and buttons all the way up. I love the nude colour and I think they do it in different colours aswell.

Have you found your winter coat?

Hope you like it!

Top 5 | November Lipsticks

Mua Lipstick Shade 2 - Fave Mua
Mua Lipstick Shade 1 Fave Mua
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 47 "L'amoureuse'
Mac Lipstick 'Flamin Go' Fave Mac
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 42 'L'eclante'

This blog has been really difficult as there is too many different lipsticks. Today I have focused on 5 lipsticks which I have been using recently. I have a few high branded lipsticks but I seem to generally have more drugstore branded lipsticks..

Mua lipsticks are my all time favorites! Through out my blogs you will realize that I talk about Mua products alot.. I just feel that the price is unbelievable and the quality amazes me, most of Mua products are such reasonable prices, all lipsticks are £1. I practically own all the Mua products and use the Lipsticks and Mascara daily. At the moment I am loving Shades 1 and 2 in the Mua Lipsticks range and these two lipsticks I have been using regularly this Autumn/ Winter, I love these two rich tones and I already spoke about Lipstick 1 in my October Favorites.

Mac lipstick 'Flamin Go' is quite a neutral light colour, perfect all year round. I do like this product but I sometimes find that the texture can be slightly thick sometimes.. now this might just mean that it doesn't suit my lip texture compared to other lipsticks and compare to other people.

You can never go wrong with Chanel lipsticks and again I have picked two lipsticks by the same brand. Both these colors are completely different, Chanel 'L,amoureuse' is a beautiful plum and Chanel 'L'eclante' is a perky pink. I find that Chanel lipsticks are very hydrating and long lasting and do last a good duration of time, I find the Chanel products have to use as I love the packaging and I love the Chanel print in the lipstick!

Which lip products do you prefer?
